The Grand Plan

In 1960 Hughston McBain of McBain my grandfather attempted to buy “100 to 200 acres of the old clans lands” but he found Scot’s wouldn’t sell.  Over 50 years has gone by;  maybe we should ask again.
I have recently begun a collaboration with Charles & Moira Geoffrion in Tucson: they are both very active in the preservation and development of art and culture programs and facilities.  They have had extensive experience in Indiana, Arizona, Colorado and Washington, as well as Italy, Bulgaria and Africa, beginning or assisting existing arts and culture programs.  Both have retired from senior administrative positions at the University of Arizona and are interested in what might be accomplished to benefit McBain Memorial Park.

The Geoffrions and I met recently and will soon complete an outline for the consideration of Clan McBain. It will address potential plans that both preserve the current status of McBain Memorial Park and also offer suggestions for new programs to augment what has been created to date.
